Our Client, a leading Mining Company in Sumbawa, needs urgently the following position:
CRP QA Officer
Dimention of the Position:
Validating the quality of corrective corrosion work to contract specifications.
Purpose :
Company has committed resources for the remediation of Concentrator Process Plant assets, degraded due to corrosion. The re-mediation project includes major labor contracts to restore structures and apply protection from corrosion by replacement coatings and other techniques. This position is to service the Quality Assurance program for the works including, structural repairs, concrete repairs, pipe replacement, electrical facility replacement, corrosion resistant material installation, preparation and protective coating works.
Qualification:
Must have Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgical Engineering or Science. Preferably degree assessed by valid organization or approved equivalent.
Completed a coating inspection course to NACE level 3 or approved equivalent course.
Shall demonstrate 10 yrs experience in Quality Assurance, with particular emphasis toward Welding, Mechanical fabrication, Coating and Concrete Technology.
Shall occupy the role with serious quality and Plant life implications and must come with a high integrity ethic.
Certified advanced English skills in written and spoken to be able to develop procedures.
Ability to follow / interpret specifications.
Experience in Oil -Gas, Mining industries and major maintenance projects.
Sound knowledge and understanding of Engineering standards and codes. AS & NZ Codes.
Highly motivated and have the ability to work autonomously.
Job Description:
Comply with all Company Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as those required under the Decree of the Ministry of Mines and Energy 555.K/26/M.PE.
Attend training procedures for Safety/Loss Control staff in line with Company Succession Planning Policy.
Development and revision of QA manuals for the project.
Audit and check daily Quality Reports.
Utilize a full range of coating instruments.
Utilize a range of NDT and other metrication instrument skills in assessing entire remediation projects.
Ensure contractor(s) apply the quality processes to control quality during preparation, installation and application to specification
Log quality inspections and audit reports daily.
Record quality measurements.
Evaluate and record all quality excursions from specifications and approval procedures and communicate prompt notice of same to the Project Manager or his delegate.
Maintain legible records of all QA matters in quality formats.
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for all works.
Monitor contractors using KPI.
Initiate non conformance reports.
Report to the Project Manager or his delegate.
Develop and implement new procedure(s) as required for the job.
Ensure the transfer of technology from expatriate to National employees and the promotion and support of National employee training and skill development.
Working Conditions / Regulatory Requirements:
The occupant of this position will work in a shift roster and will be employed in areas of the site where nominated by the CRP Project Manager or his delegate.
Desirable skills, knowledge, training and experience:
Demonstrate Certification or Experience in Safety requirements for Work at Heights to Newmont Standards
